Out to Bill and Kelly's for a delicious dinner this evening - what a nice Christmas gift......and their house and yard are decorated to the hilt! Their Christmas tree in the living room reaches to the ceiling. Pictured are Amanda holding Leia - also in the next photo, Ashley.

Woods Branch Farm Christmas, 2009

A house full of Christmas. After an evening dinner of ham and all the trimmings, and of course the traditional Asti.......it was presents time.

Counting faces, we had Steve and Linda and theirs: Bill, Kelly and Ashley; Amanda and Leia......Terry and Terri and theirs: Shirley, (Terry's mother, here for the holiday), Laura and Jeremy, Tessa and Charley; Andy and Becky, Mark, Bob and David. Counting me, I think we were 20!

Memories were made........

A red headed doll for our little red headed Ashley

Bob and his fire truck

Leia with her new "house slippers" (huge fuzzy frogs) - which she didn't take off the rest of the evening!

Mark and Bob, hiding under the coffee table, examining new toys....

Watch out, here comes David

Laura and a happy Charley

Jeremy reading "The Night Before Christmas"

Cousins....time out for a photo!

Happy Birthday Mamaw Betty

Another family get-to-gether.....A supper of chili, vegetables and dip, Becky's cheeseball, and some of Steve and Linda's smoked cheese - then a beautiful cake and ice cream......After opening presents, the grandchildren trimmed Mamaw's Christmas Tree.

Lined up around the birthday cake, telling Mamaw which piece they wanted. There were candy poinsetias, and lots of butter cream icing, plus some "Happy Birthday" writing - they all had their piece picked out. Thanks to Sarge for the beautiful cake!

Tree Trimming Party

Kelly supervised - carefully helping unwrap the old family ornaments, and helping little hands reach bare branches......after a bit she was holding the little guys up to where they could reach bare spots. They were all so busy, and fascinated by each little ornament! After they were finished, they kept going around the tree admiring their work. I think this will be a family tradition from now on. Surprisingly, they were all so careful of the old keepsakes.

So intent - they were so busy trying to get the ornaments on just right

TaDa - Mamaw's Tree All Done

More beautiful than ever - not a single branch unadorned, especially the lower limbs, some have two or three ornaments......
