Gone

Rodney took his boat home - either to clean up and sell or whatever.......with the price of gas and new batteries, boating isn't the fun it used to be. Anyway, has been stored out here in the big barn since '01 - time to go........Bill and Andy took the old green truck to the top of the hill - IN FRONT OH HIM - just in case Rod needed help getting up THE hill. I told Rod he might need to keep an eagle eye out for a few days, anything just might crawl out of the boat - like 'possums, snakes, ground hogs, racoons - all of which live up around the barns.........

Look to the Woods - the Wild Locust Trees are in Bloom

Guess the rain popped out the blooms, but all of a sudden the Locust Trees are in full bloom.

The blooms hang in heavy clusters, much like bunches of grapes - only snowy white, and the wonderful fragrance drifts through the area.

Bob once told me when he was a little boy, his mother had picked an armload of these beautiful flowers and took to a neighbor's funeral and placed on the grave. This was "way-back-when" - before funeral homes and flower shops.....most of the funerals were either at the home or one's church, and the only flowers were what one could come up with.
